“ My wife and I love finding new places to eat and thought we had seen them all. But this place was fantastic. The food was awesome and the atmosphere was off the chart. Seeing the boats come up the river and dock right in front of the restaurant reminded me of a coastal town. We got the bruschetta for an appetizer. It was a little different as we had never had it with a sweet sauce drizzled over it. Then we got the fish and chips. The fries were seasoned perfectly and the fish would melt in your mouth. ”

I have seen the female owner behind the bar several times, as well as her husband who was cleaning up tables. I talked to them before leaving, and they were so kind. Its located right on the banks of the Ohio River, and the view is simply stunning. As I enjoyed my meal, I couldnt help but glance out at the serene beauty of the river. The whole place had a laidback vibe, and the music playing in the background, including some Dave Matthews Band classics, just added to the overall relaxing ambiance. It was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a great meal. The service at Schooners was topnotch. The server I had was attentive and really went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and she even provided some excellent recommendations. I felt well taken care of throughout the entire dining experience. Now, lets talk about the steak. I ordered mine cooked mediumwell and it was cooked to perfection! The steak was beautifully seared on the outside, and the inside was tender and juicy. The flavors were incredible, and it was evident that a lot of skill and care went into preparing it. It was easily one of the best steaks Ive ever had.
